Wrong Place Wrong Time by David P Perlmutter
Genre(s): Biographies & Memoirs, True Accounts, True Crime, Nonfiction
M y name is David P Perlmutter, this is my story based on true events of my trip to Marbella, Spain. There are moments in the story that I’m not proud of but also there are some that I am. You will have your view and I would be delighted to hear what you think of my book.
“After successfully negotiating another property deal in London, I meet a friend to celebrate but due to my own reckless stupidity, events that night took a wrong turn & I end up losing everything I had worked so hard for. A month or two later I head for Marbella, Spain with its promise of adventure and fun.”
“Little do I know that I’m about to be thrust into the most terrifying time of my life. Wrong Place Wrong Time is a gripping true-life story of an unimaginable nightmare & how my ticket to a new life turns out to be a one way ticket to hell.”
On the 19th Feb: WRONG PLACE WRONG TIME became the #1 BESTSELLER in TRUE CRIME on Amazon in America.
Here are some of my 29 FIVE ***** US Reviews.
5*****WRONG PLACE WRONG TIME is the first book written by David Perlmutter & what a fantastic story he has to tell.
Highly recommended. Brilliant story Sir.
RJ Parker
True Crime Author/Publicist
5*****I disagree with David’s perception of himself as a writer. Wrong Place Wrong Time is written beautifully. It is a heartfelt & amazing story of courage and stamina.
5*****I am a fan of biography, autobiography, true crime & fact based literature. This book had elements of all these genres & it read like a thriller. David’s style of writing makes you feel like he is just a friend telling a story but just when you are thinking you are going to get a nice coming-of-age story, beer & women get involved, and then the plot begins to twist! This is a edge of your seat, can’t put it down PERFECT read. I am a reader & a thinker & this one kept me doing both. Do not for a moment think this is a ‘man’s book’. ANYONE who likes a great read will enjoy this one…the girls in the book club can’t put it down, my 80 year old dad loved it & any 20-something on the verge of traveling should read this cautionary tale! Well done!
5*****This is an incredible story, one of the few books that leave you cursing your surroundings for constantly distracting you.
5*****I would not be surprised to see this book be turned into a movie some day. If it does, I’ll be one of the first in line to watch it!
5*****A Thrilling, Gripping True Story…..I don’t normally read true stories but this one grabbed my attention & kept me hooked the entire way through. We all make mistakes in our lives, but for Dave his mistakes will never be forgotten. His mistakes also led to acts of Heroism which most of us could never dream of achieving. This is an incredible, honest account of one man’s journey which changed his life forever.
5*****I won’t ruin the suspense by telling you what happens next, but suffice it to say, it will bring to mind some scenes from Midnight Express.
5*****His tale is a roller coaster ride & you don’t want to get off until the end. The twists & turns will leave you breathless.
It is well-written and has a good pace. Your dialogue is very convincing and I could feel the sun & smell the sun-tan lotion! I thought you wrote honestly & without self-pity, which makes it all the more authentic.
I’m really impressed by your writing. It’s very polished and sails right along. Your descriptions are rich and effective. Dialogue is pitch perfect & meshes perfectly with actions & descriptions. Wonderful.
You are an excellent writer & your memoir is captivating. I was so enthralled with you story.
5*****Love a book that I can immediately connect with a character & Dave is truly one of those people. Would love to see this story on the big screen!
5*****Wrong Place Wrong Time is an absolutely captivating real life story from beginning to end.
5*****I warn you, start reading this book & you will not want to stop, it’s that gripping, you simply cannot wait to find out what comes next.

Reviews:
“Sokoloff keeps her story enticingly ambiguous, never clarifying until
the climax whether the unfolding weirdness might be the result of the
investigators’ psychic sensitivities or the mischievous handiwork of a
human villain.”
– Publisher’s Weekly
“A creepy haunted house, reports of a 40-year-old poltergeist investigation, and a young researcher trying to rebuild her life take the “publish or perish” initiative for college professors to a terrifying new level in this spine-tingling story that has every indication of becoming a horror classic. Based on he famous Rhine ESP experiments at the Duke University parapsychology department that collapsed in the 1960s, this is a chillingly dark look into the unknown.”
– Romantic Times Book Review, 4 1/2 stars
“Alexandra Sokoloff takes the horror genre to new heights.”
– Charlotte Examiner
“Sokoloff shines, and deserves kudos for her crisp, direct style, excellent characterization, and for weaving the real life history of the Duke Rhine lab into her own fictional landscape.”
– Horrorworld
“Alexandra Sokoloff’s talent brings readers into the dark and encompassing world of the unknown so completely, that reader’s will find it difficult to go to bed until the last page has been turned. Her novels bring human frailty and the desperate desire to survive together in poignant stories of personal struggle and human triumph. But the truly fascinating element of Sokoloff’s writing is her deep dig into the human psyche and the horrors that lie just beneath the surface of our carefully constructed facades.”
– Fiction Examiner
“Sokoloff has provided a new and interesting twist to the genre, one that will stay with the reader long after the book has been read… the hair on the back of my neck may never lie down.”

Eat Your Way to Great Sex – Enjoy Superfoods for Enhanced Libido: Desire, Fertility, Energy, Erectile Function and Great Orgasms (Superfoods Series) by Karen Groves
Genre(s): Health Fitness & Dieting, Relationships, Love & Romance, Sex, Advice & How-to, Health Mind & Body
E at Your Way to Great Sex – Enjoy Superfoods for Enhanced Libido: Desire, Fertility, Energy, Erectile Function and Great Orgasms
Do you know what to eat, and as importantly, what to avoid, to help stimulate your desire for sex, to boost your sexual energy, your fertility, have good erectile function and great orgasms?
This book is about a natural solution to problems associated with your libido – the superfoods that can help you have great sex.
Why is this book so important? Because statistics worldwide show that more and more people are starting to experience problems with sex drive and sexual performance. Some of these statistics are reviewed in the Foreword to this book. There are a number of factors that may be causing these problems with libido, and what you eat is one of them. The declining quality of our food supplies is very concerning, and so the Introduction takes a brief look at our food supplies and points out the importance of consuming organic natural food for libido and health, versus the mass-produced food.
After a brief chapter on ‘What is Libido?’ individual chapters are devoted to:
• Superfoods for Stimulating Desire
• Superfoods for Boosting Energy
• Superfoods for Boosting Fertility
• Superfoods for Good Erectile Function
• Superfoods for Great Orgasms
Each of these chapters starts with a list of foods you should avoid; mood-killing foods, foods that don’t energize, foods that can cause low fertility and problems in pregnancy, foods that can cause problems with erectile function, and foods that can cause orgasms to fizzle and fail.
Superfoods that you should include in your diet for great sex are then described in these chapters.
Both ladies and men will learn more than a thing or two in this e-book. For example, ladies, do you know why you may want to feed celery to your men?
The Conclusion wraps things up by reinforcing the message: ‘healthy sex lives are enjoyed by people who are healthy and who are consuming organic superfoods to preserve that health.’
An Appendix lists problems with libido and the possible causes.

C’est la Vie (Raja Williams Series) by Jack Thompson
Genre(s): Literature & Fiction, Mystery Thriller & Suspense, Mystery, Police Procedurals, Series
W hat do a private detective, a hacker and an assassin have in common? The desire to help when justice needs a hand.
C’est La Vie is a rollicking detective mystery thriller featuring Raja Williams and his partner Vinny Moore. Neither the dark, tragic anti-hero nor the James Bond super-hero type, Raja Williams is a wealthy Oxford-educated PI of mixed Caribbean descent who possesses a strong empathic power and a sixth sense for evil that gives him headaches and steers him straight into trouble. His partner Vinny Moore is a gorgeous hipster geek who prefers hacking computers to haute couture.
In C’est La Vie, book two in the popular series, Raja and Vinny go to Paris when the wife of a visiting British professor disappears and three policemen are executed. The investigation leads straight into the world of club drugs, white slavery and an international criminal known only as the Scorpion.
The writing style is lean and fast paced, with a hint of hard-boiled and plenty of humorous banter between the two protagonists, a la Dashiell Hammett’s The Thin Man. A colorful cast of characters, great dialogue and a suspenseful, twisting plot make C’est La Vie an entertaining tale that can be read as a stand-alone book or as the sequel to The Color of Greed.

The Happy Hooker: My Own Story by Xaviera Hollander
Genre(s): Biographies & Memoirs, Reference & Collections, Specific Groups, Women, Education & Reference, Health Fitness & Dieting, Sex, Advice & How-to, Health Mind & Body
H ow did you first learn about sex? If you grew up in the 1970s, it may have been from a gleefully lusty tour guide named Xaviera Hollander
In the late 1960s — that era of sexual chaos, when Playboy Clubs and love-ins were competing for national attention — a beautiful, intelligent young Dutch secretary named Xaviera de Vries moved to New York, grew swiftly tired of her desk job . . . and soon became the most visible and glamorous madam the city had ever seen. As Xaviera Hollander, she published a shockingly candid account of her life behind the brothel door. The Happy Hooker shot straight to the top of the bestseller lists, sold more than fifteen million copies, and made this enterprising young woman an international phenomenon.
Thirty years later, these delightfully explicit tales of the ’60s and ’70s swingers’ scene — including countless jaw-dropping stories of lesbianism, bondage, fetishism, and more — remain as titillating as ever, charged with the mix of shrewd observation and uninhibited appetite that made Hollander an irresistible storyteller. The Happy Hooker is a classic: the world’s greatest book on the world’s oldest profession.

He knows it isn’t his fault when the driver of the Porsche runs a red light, knows it isn’t his fault when the driver dies of the injuries he sustained during the horrible accident, but William just can’t convince himself that he is completely free of responsibility. And when a vision of the driver starts appearing in his room, starts stalking him around campus, starts appearing in his car, it threatens to drive him mad.
“Fotoshop of the Gods”- Douglas McIntire is just your average college student, out buying replacement parts so he can fix his broken computer. But when he leaves the small computer store, he caries with him not just new parts, but a mysterious disk as well, one that contains a disturbing program. A program that allows Doug to bend and warp reality as he sees fit. Will he use it responsibly? Or will he allow the program’s dark voice to drag him down a dark path? Could you resist the temptation if given the power to reshape your little corner of the world?

A place where games are played and where the losers usually end up dead. Marco can’t imagine what twist of fate has brought the four of them to The Tavern, but he is determined to make sure that they all make it out alive. Of course, survival is much harder when the deck is stacked against you by the Mistress of the Tavern herself.

A young woman’s search for her estranged father, raises unwanted demons from the past and more adventure than either of them could have imagined. Especially dedicated by this best selling author to his daughters, this unforgettable, dramatic and moving novel will stay with you long after the last page is turned.
Nikki Kimble was brought up by her mother in the lap of luxury, with every conceivable material thing she could ever want, except for the presence and love of her father Jake, a former bestselling author who disappeared from her life when she was three years old. All she has are fleeting memories and a romantic notion of him gleaned from the central character in his novels.
On the death of her mother, Nikki decides to search for her father, and when she finds him, drunk on board a battered yacht in the Florida Keys her shattered illusions turn to anger. Demons from the past threaten to overtake them both as they embark on an intensely personal journey of self-discovery.
As father and daughter face-off in an emotionally charged atmosphere, adrift on a leaking yacht in the middle of a massive storm, their fury, sadness and sense of loss is countered by that mysterious and precious bond that exists between a father and a daughter, and a deep seated human need for love, belonging and new beginnings. Their only hope for the future is by healing the past. But the burning question remains. Will the truth really set them free, or will it create so much pain that it shatters them into tiny pieces, never to be whole again?
This dramatic and inspirational novel explores universal themes of family relationships, love, hate, betrayal, self-realisation and the power and strength of the Human Spirit to overcome seemingly impossible obstacles that Life places in our way.
“…AFN Clarke captures a father and daughter reconciliation in a poignant, gripping and heartfelt way. It’s a story which mirrors the journey many of us take in life … As a reader I felt both challenged and uplifted by this book… I highly recommend it.” 5 Stars, Roma Gaster.
