Reviews
C.S.Jennings “Shunka’s Friend”: I really enjoyed the descriptions of the area where the story is set, the Nez Prez tribe information and the general atmosphere of the story. The plot unfolded at a steady pace, slowly sucking in both the main character and the reader but never giving the reader time to be in the least bored or consider laying the book down. I got up at 2 in the morning to finish it and stayed up till I had read the last page. This is not something I usually do. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Hope there are more Travis Mays Novels coming.
Carolyn Arnold: Travis Mays is a detective who had his life finally in order – until the one day the love of his life was ordered back in undercover and it cost her her life.
…The author’s phrasing is beautiful and poetic at times, with many sentences that have you taking pause, and mouthing “ooh”. The novel has an ending I didn’t see coming with a shocking twist. Worth a read.
K. Sozaeva “Obsersive bibliophile”: …This is quite an entertaining little suspense/thriller, full of twists and turns. I kept thinking I had figured out who it was, then kept being shown the error of my own thought processes – that kept me guessing! This author provides sufficient character and plot development to keep the story fresh and interesting, without allowing it to be bogged down with excessive details. A good, solid tale of psychological suspense, murder and intrigue.

PRAISE FOR TRUE COLOURS:
“A masterful tale of secrets and romance, wrapped in intrigue and tied with love” Amazon bestseller Sally Clements
“This is how romance novel should be written – the characters are sexy, interesting, independent, and believable and don’t even start me on the setting… !” M Scott
“Loved it, couldn’t put it down. This is a wonderful mystery romance and you don’t find out the major “What?” until the very end of the book.” Addicted to Books
“True Colours is an intelligent romance with pace, plot and oh so much passion. Sexy and sassy, it is one of those books that once you get started you can’t put down, and yearn for your bed all day so you can pick it up again when you turn in for the night…The last time I enjoyed a book this much was when I read one of Jilly Cooper’s doorstops, and True Colours has all the raunchy (but none of the racehorses) page-turning qualities…” KTK
“I absolutely loved everything about this book. In fact with so many five star reviews you are all going to think the author is paying us. It’s just a really enjoyable story. I found myself rooting for both of the main characters. It’s rare to find a book where their is conflict between two characters yet you can be rooting for both of them to have happiness. Their love story is very romantic. I was expecting a typical romance storyline, but this book weaves in a bit of suspense. Nothing too scary which is perfect for me. It is truly a beautiful story. I even enjoyed reading about the other not-so-nice characters in the book. This author knows how to paint pictures with words. I will be looking for more from her in the future.” Sue Sells Stuff, Longwood, Florida

Blinny Platt’s life story has been one filled with longings and betrayal, a legacy that unfolds with all the complexities of a conspiracy. Even as a small girl, she should have known, connected the whispers and snippets, but never did – Not until her secretive step-mother tossed a cache of poems on her lap, exposing lonesome words that break the heart.
After years of internal angst, Blinny suddenly feels compelled to leave her father’s ranch to buy land and build a home herself. In her few restful moments, she finds the image of her mother lingering in the acres around her, in the toast-browns of the prairie grasses, in the colors beneath the browns, in the hint of deep green lingering at the base of seemingly dead grass – the promise of life to come. Maman would always be part of the landscape – first thin and graceful, then cumbersome with child, then wistful and wan, then gone, leaving behind an emptiness she had not prepared Blinny for. “A fantastic read from start to finish. Reminded me a great deal of the works of Robert Crais and Robert B Parker.”

“A brilliant mystery novel…I eagerly await the return of the Zen Man.”
~Becky Sherriff, The Kindle Book Review
“What I didn’t expect were the touches of romantic language, as delicate and erotic as a glance by Humphrey Bogart from under his hat. I also didn’t expect the humorous touches in what is essentially one man’s life-or-death fight to save his soul, his business and the love of his life.”
~Bonnie Ramthun, multi-published mystery and YA author

A Pandora’s Children Single
I have decided to pull five of my favorite stories from my Pandora’s Children collection and release them as $.99 standalone stories.
In “A Matter of Faith, A Matter of Balance”, an elderly religious leader has his faith tested when he is taken into custody by the sheriff of a small Nevada town. Will his arrest save the members of his cult from his rogue beliefs? Or will his incarceration result in the end of the world, as he predicts? (9,400 words)
Please note that this story has been previously published in Pandora’s Children Book 3: Death Bleeds into Life ($1.99) and Pandora’s Children: The Complete Nightmares Book 2($2.99), so if you have read either of those, don’t bother with this. But if you haven’t delved into the Pandora’s Children books yet, and don’t want to spend more than $.99, this is a good place to start.

Fledgling entrepreneur Samantha Riverà is in charge of her own life for the first time and determined to keep it that way. She’s attempting to banish her call-all-the-shots ex-husband from her dreams, but it’s kind of tough forgetting the Zorro look-alike who’s willing to do anything for her, except give her the only two things she wants–another baby and his love. When their 14-year-old daughter Dani–who’s maintaining a shaky remission from leukemia–rebels, Sam foolishly seeks advice from her Don Juan ex, who, incidentally, could charm the knickers off a nun.
When Nicolàs Riverà returns to Redemption, PA, to help control his defiant daughter, he discovers he not only has serious competition for Sam’s affection, but Dani has a crush on a boy who is the last kid Nick wants her interested in. The boy is a horn-dog rebel who reminds Nick way to much of his teen-aged self.
Sam never understood that, to a second-generation Latino man, familial responsibility is número uno. She also has no concept of how terrified this reformed bad-boy and businessman is of losing her to another high-risk pregnancy. The death of their premature son devastated Nick, and his refusal to sire another child incited The Great Bedroom War that ultimately destroyed his marriage. Now, he’ll stop at nothing to get his family back–even if it means blackmailing his way back into his ex-wife’s home to become a greater presence in his sick child’s life–and, with any luck, Samantha’s bed and heart.

“He reached out and ran the palm of his hand down her arm. She shivered under his touch, but she didn’t take her eyes from his. They had darkened again, and she could see the desire there and knew it was reflected in hers as well. Before she could think about what she was doing, she put her arms around his neck, drew his face to hers, and kissed him.
His lips were hard at first, but after a moment, they softened, and he returned her embrace. When his tongue slipped into her mouth she groaned low and leaned into him as a fire uncoiled in her abdomen. It had been so long since a man had made her feel this way, and she felt herself slipping into unknown territory.
For once, she let herself go.”
