M ore than 2,000,000 children worldwide are bought and sold each year to be used as slaves. This may be just one of their stories….
When his parents agree to send Tavi off to a special school in the city that promises wealth and success, they have no idea that they are handing their son over to real life human traffickers.
Tavi’s excitement soon turns into horror as he learns what kind of a life he has been forced into and the things that are expected of him. As his world comes crashing down around him, he struggles to stay true to himself in the midst of the darkness.
But when one of his friends dies a horrific death, Tavi knows that he must escape if he is to survive and ever have a chance at a normal life again.
This is a story about Tavi, a boy who has been sold into human trafficking, and the man who is responsible for Tavi’s fate.
Disclaimer – This book does contain a couple of very brief sex scenes and minor drug usage. It’s based on real-life anecdotes from children who have forced into this kind of situation, and so there are a couple of gritty, unpalatable images that would have been unrealistic to leave out.

She wants to know about her father’s secret life that he lived apart from both her and her mother. The professor tells Athena about his romantically adventurous life through stories filled with passion, humor and irreverence. It’s a volatile debate between a strong-willed daughter and her maverick father. Don’t we all fall in love with many others during our life? And what happens when we pursue those passions? A Dictionary of Linguistic Absurdities by Chamber Proof
Genre(s): Education & Reference, Humor & Entertainment, Humor, Literature & Fiction, Contemporary, Contemporary Fiction
E dited by Professor Darren Rimmer, BA, MA, MPhil, PhD, pH, DipEng, DipThong, STD (cured). Bernard Manning chair of Neologism and Applied Hermeneutics, City University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
Enjoy is the wrong word for this book, but the editor hopes you take something from it, even if it’s only a whole bunch of new things to be prejudiced about. The bastard offspring of Roger’s Profanosaurus and The Meaning of Liff (although endorsed by neither of those esteemed publications, which would no doubt distance themselves from it faster than Usain Bolt on banned substances), A Dictionary of Linguistic Absurdities is a ghastly little piece of unpleasantness brought to you by an academic research team which would just as soon burn it in front of a grateful and relieved populace. The public, however, has a right to know, as the News of the World once said, and look what happened to them.
The Nightlife: New York (The Nightlife Series) by Travis Luedke
Genre(s): Literature & Fiction, Romance, Fantasy & Futuristic, Science Fiction & Fantasy, Fantasy, Paranormal
V ampires, strippers, escorts, night clubs, gangs, pimps and corrupt cops, the Nightlife of New York is never boring.
Is she a beautiful blond guardian angel as he imagined, or something else entirely? When Michelle saves Aaron’s life she shares the benefits of her blood––after getting him shot accidentally. He awakes a changed man, living in a purgatory of eternal night, never to see the sunrise again.
Michelle drags Aaron through a hardcore learning curve of vampiric slavery. Forced to adapt to servitude, he is subject to her authority of compulsion. She orders him around like a puppet on a string, a dog on a very short leash. First things first, he must learn to feed properly without creating bloodslaves (humans addicted to the powerful drug-like effect of their venomous bite).
And then she puts him to work––a male escort in the sex trade––same as Michelle. Aaron walks a tightrope of strictly controlled feeding regiments and intensely erotic sexual adventures while catering to the neurotic control-freak tendencies of his new master. It’s do or die, Michelle vows to eliminate him if he proves too difficult to control. Amidst all these shocking and degrading adjustments, Aaron finds he’s falling in love.
Can he maintain her rules and keep a sliver of his humanity intact? Innocence is a luxury few can afford in the decadent nightlife of New York. In a world where sex, blood, and power over women is so readily accessible, Aaron struggles against the predatory instincts deeply rooted in his new psyche. He must find his way quickly, practicing rigid self-control, or risk the consequences of Michelle’s wrath.

A young soldier accompanies his great grandfather, Doug Mackinack, on an Honor Flight–a sponsored trip to the World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. During the flight, the old man shares stories from his platoon’s tour in Europe, many ending in dramatic (or occasionally, humorous) twists.

Will he return to the man he was before the war, or will he become the killer the war created?
When Mackinack and his great grandson reach the monument, there is one final surprise tied to events sixty six years earlier.

Educating the Average Joe: 101 Love & Romance Ideas for the Average Joe by R.K. Booker
Genre(s): Health Fitness & Dieting, Relationships, Love & Romance, Self-Help, Happiness, Advice & How-to, Health Mind & Body
T he Average Joe Doesn’t Know a Thing About Romance
Romance is as important to a woman as sex is to the average Joe. Does that help you get the big picture?
Love and romance are at the top of the list of key ingredients for happiness in a woman’s life.
But, the average Joe is clueless about what a woman thinks is romantic, not because we’re dumb or idiots. It’s because we weren’t taught about it.
To a woman a romantic gesture is the expression of your love for her and confirmation that she is loved.
That’s why romance is a very big deal to women.
This book will help you learn what a woman thinks is romantic (and sorry, it has nothing to do with getting more sex, although, when your woman knows you love her and you show her you love her, she’ll feel a deeper relationship with you which may lead to more sex).
CAUTION! USE SPARINGLY!
The ideas and suggestions in this book are like water for a flower. Needed, but don’t over water or these ideas will lose their power.
PS: This book is for the average Joe only. Ladies, you can get one for your average Joe, but NO PEEKING!
Home Remedies from Weeds and Wild Flowers (Herbal Medicine from Your Garden or Windowsill) by Frann Leach
Genre(s): Health Fitness & Dieting, Alternative Medicine, Advice & How-to, Health Mind & Body, Herbal Remedies
N ot all of us are into formal gardening. A good solution is to make a wildlife garden, with a wild flower meadow and patches of important food plants for wildlife. So you end up with a garden full of weeds and other wild plants. Can you make home remedies from such unpromising material? Yes, you can.
Natural remedies go back into antiquity, and if you think about it, there wasn’t the range of plants available which we now expect to find. None of the culinary herbs we all know and love – most of them were taken to the UK by the Romans some 2000 years ago, brought to the New World with the Pilgrim Fathers in the 1600s.
It’s believed that even many common weeds originated with the Roman Empire, so now you know who to blame! But they didn’t carry these plants with them for no reason. They had a purpose – and that purpose was for use as natural cures for common ailments, most of which we still suffer from today.

Dr. Dolittle meets Northern Exposure….
Gordon closed the door behind her and walked woodenly to the bed.
He wanted to forgive Taylor. Desperately. But he couldn’t trust
her. If he allowed himself to trust her, she’d have the power to
hurt him. No matter what, he couldn’t give her that power ever
again.
The floor creaked just beyond Gordon’s door, and he held his
breath as the doorknob turned. His heart thundered and he wanted
desperately to call out to her.
Slowly, the door opened, and Taylor stood framed by firelight.
“Dear God.” His gaze drifted down the length of her, savoring
every inch of bare leg. His body sprang to life even as his mouth
formed the words, “Taylor, don’t…”
“I’ve been lying awake, and I can’t stop remembering.” She padded
barefoot to his bed. “Look at me, Gordon.”
He raised his lashes and met her gaze. Something bright and hot
and dangerous burned in her eyes. “Do you know…”
She put her knee on his bed and cupped his cheek with one hand,
then brought her other knee onto his bed and framed his face with
both hands. “I only know this,” she whispered, leaning closer to
cover his mouth with hers.
Gordon held his breath as she pulled him closer, stroking his
lips with her tongue until he growled and wrapped his arms around
her to tug her down on top of him.
He should hate her. He should fight this.
He couldn’t.
An Idiot in Love (a laugh out loud comedy) by David Jester
Genre(s): Humor & Entertainment, Humor, Parodies, Literature & Fiction, Genre Fiction, Biographical
K ieran McCall has never been lucky in love. This socially awkward, intellectually impaired Romeo has had his fair share of relationships, but none of them have ended well.
There was the time behind the bike-sheds, his first time, when he kissed little Kerry Newsome, promptly vomited on her and then received an arse-kicking in the cloakroom. The time he found himself embroiled in an animal murdering plot after trying to acquire his first girlfriend. The ‘bulge’ incident in front of a naked class of showering classmates, and then there was the time he lost his virginity to an unenthusiastic sociopath in the supermarket stockroom; but these things were merely incidental in comparison to the others, because as bad as growing up was for this persistently unlucky idiot, adulthood was worse.
An Idiot in Love is a laugh-out-loud comedy written in an autobiographical style; a devilish rom-com with a myriad of twists and turns.
