Take Back Tomorrow by Richard Levesque
Genre(s): Literature & Fiction, Science Fiction & Fantasy, Science Fiction, Time Travel
“ Raymond Chandler meets Robert Heinlein in this fun and inventive crossover SF novel from Richard Levesque.”–J. Orr, Amazon Reviews
What if all you had to do to make your dreams come true was violate the laws of the universe?
That’s not just a philosophical question Eddie Royce has to answer. It’s a choice he has to make when the most famous science fiction writer of the 1930s goes missing and his unscrupulous publisher becomes convinced that Eddie knows all of the older writer’s secrets–not just the secret of where he’s gone, but the secret of how he’s traveled in time.
Until now, Eddie’s fooled himself into thinking he’s got the system figured out, “borrowing” plots from Shakespeare and rewriting them as space operas to make a name for himself in the pulps. But when he finds out that Chester Blackwood–his idol and inspiration–has been cheating the system in ways Eddie could never have dreamed of, the hack science fiction writer finds himself in the middle of a plot that his pulp readers would never have imagined.
Now he has to do all he can to save himself–and Blackwood’s beautiful daughter–from the powerful figures who all want Blackwood’s secret. And violating the laws of the universe might just be the least of Eddie’s problems.
“The pace of the story is quick, and the time transitions are handled well. Overall, this is a good novel, one that even readers with little interest in sci-fi might enjoy.” — Publishers Weekly.*
“Hardboiled 30′s crime thriller meets time-traveling pulp science-fiction for an original fast paced, page turner.”–S. Sager, Amazon Reviews
“It has a distinctly ‘noir’ flavor as well as an old school science fiction feel. It is fast paced and clever.”–C. Pellitteri, Amazon Reviews
“Apart from stopping to have something to eat I haven’t been able to tear myself away from this until I had finished it. This is good old time story telling that is well written, and definitely well worth reading.”–M. Bowden, Amazon UK Hall of Fame Reviewer
Richard Levesque writes novels and short stories by night and is an English professor by day. He mostly writes science fiction and paranormal fantasy blended with noir-style mystery. He is currently working on his next novel.

The Life and Prayers of Saint Patrick by Wyatt North
Genre(s): Biographies & Memoirs, Leaders & Notable People, Religious, Christian Books & Bibles, Catholicism, Religion & Spirituality, Christianity
O ne part biography, one part prayer book, The Life and Prayers of Saint Patrick is an essential for any Christian.
The Saint Patrick of his own writings and the early records of his life are not known to many. While Saint Patrick also represents shamrocks, Irish pride, and even the occasional green beer there is much of his life that is often forgotten. For instance, the original color associated with Saint Patrick’s Day was blue, and although Saint Patrick dedicated his life to spreading Christianity in Ireland, he might not have celebrated the nation, as we do on his feast day today, in his own lifetime. Ireland, for Patrick, was in many ways bittersweet.
On the other hand, it was also the nation of his spiritual awakening, which is probably a large part of why Patrick decided to make the conversion of Ireland his calling. In the English-speaking world, few saints are as well known, yet so misunderstood, as Saint Patrick. The saint himself, as he was in life, sometimes gets lost in his holiday. The seekers who want to know the real Patrick have to dig much deeper, but they will also find Patrick a more complex and rewarding acquaintance.
All books in The Life and Prayers series come complete with a Touch-or-Click Table of Contents, divided by each section.

T HE BUSHWHACKERS
Heck Martin’s motto was simple. If they left him alone, he would leave them alone.
Heck Martin was not pro-Union, like his father and brother. He had joined up with Quantrill to harass the bluebellies and other Union feds that thought they could tell others what they should be doing. But after the massacre at Lawrence, Kansas, he wanted nothing to do with Quantrill and his gang.
Thirteen other hard-bitten veterans had followed him, had joined with him, but soon grew to hate him even more than they hated Quantrill.
Then suddenly, the war is over, and Heck knows that most of his “men” would be out to kill him. But they all feared him. He was the fastest with a gun they had ever seen. Also, Heck had warned them, when he left for home, that if anyone followed him or tried to cause him or his family harm, he would kill them on sight.
Cotton Petty and the other bushwhackers had not left him alone. They had tried to kill him, and failing that, had killed two members of his family. For that he would hound them to the ends of the earth, if need be. From now on, until he was dead or they were all dead, there would be war between them.
Follow Heck Martin as he tracks the deadly bushwhackers, across the 1865 wild west landscape of Missouri, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. Heck’s tracking skills are put to the test in a deadly game of cat and mouse, sprinkled with Comanches, wild west women, mountain men and plenty of gunfights, horses and cold blooded killers. He also has to avoid the bluebellies who are hunting him, as well as a bounty put on his head by Quantrill, for what Heck had done during the war.

The Last Madam: A Life in the New Orleans Underworld by Christine Wiltz
Genre(s): Biographies & Memoirs, Specific Groups, Crime & Criminals, History, Americas, United States, State & Local, Criminals, South
N orma Wallace grew up fast in the rough neighborhoods of New Orleans. In 1916, as an ambitious fifteen-year-old, she went to work as a street-walker in the French Quarter, but by 1920 was madam of what became one of the city’s most lavish brothels, an establishment frequented by politicians, movie stars, gangsters, and even the notoriously corrupt police force. For decades Norma flourished, a smart, glamorous, powerful woman whose scandalous life made front-page headlines. Her lovers ran the gamut from a bootlegger who shot her during a fight, to a famed bandleader, to the boy next door, thirty-nine years her junior, who became her fifth husband.
Norma knew all of the Crescent City’s dirty little secrets and used them to protect her own interests – she never got so much as a traffic ticket – until the early 1960s, when District Attorney Jim Garrison decided to clean up vice and corruption. After a jail stay, she went legitimate as successfully as she had gone criminal, with a lucrative restaurant business. To the end Norma maintained her independence, and surrendered only to an irrational, obsessive love, which ultimately led to her violent death.
In The Last Madam, author Christine Wiltz combines original research with Wallace’s personal memoirs to bring to life an era in New Orleans history rife with charm and decadence, and to reveal the colorful woman who reigned as its underworld queen.

Today White Lions form the center of the notorious “canned” trophy hunting industry–hand-reared captive lions, shot in enclosures for gross sums of money. By contrast, shamans believe that killing a “lion sun god” is the ultimate sacrilege. How the human species treats such precious symbols of God in nature may determine how nature treats the human species. Whether we view them as prophetic “Lions of God” or simply as rare genetic mutations, the story of the White Lions is a true legend unfolding in our own extraordinary times.

State of Grace (Wolf Dasher) by John Phythyon
Genre(s): Literature & Fiction, Mystery Thriller & Suspense, Thrillers, Spy Stories & Tales of Intrigue, Science Fiction & Fantasy, Fantasy
M urder in a broken land . . .
When his friend and colleague in Urland’s Shadow Service, Sara Wensley-James, is murdered in the elf nation of Alfar, Wolf Dasher’s mission seems simple: track down her killer and bring him to justice. But nothing is going to be easy about this case.
Sara named Sagaius Silverleaf, Alfar’s ambassador to Urland as the culprit, but he couldn’t have done it. He was in Urland at the time of the murder.
Sent to Alfar undercover as Urland’s new ambassador, Wolf begins the most difficult and dangerous mission of his career. The once-lush and magical land of the elves is decaying. Its countryside putrefies before its citizens’ eyes. Some blame the presence of human occupiers – Urlish military units present to keep order and support Alfar’s shaky coalition government. Some blame losing the message of the great prophet, Frey, and turning away from God’s plan. But many think it is simply the schism in elfin religion that spawned a civil war and daily acts of terrorism by fundamentalist martyrs.
Wolf must navigate this nightmarish environment to find Sara’s killer. Could Silverleaf have been responsible? If so, why? His investigation leads him into an intricate web of assassination, betrayal, and zealotry. With the help of Aflar’s Elite Guard captain, May Honeyflower, Wolf uncovers piece after piece of a sinister puzzle: a psychotic killer, a mad general bent on conquest, an ancient, evil artifact, and a terrorist organization planning a grand act of devastation. But how do they all fit together? What did Sara discover that got her killed?
As the Feast of the Revelation, the holiest day on the elfin calendar, approaches, Wolf and Honeyflower find themselves in a race against time to unravel a plot that could topple Alfar’s government, plunge it into war, and change the balance of power in the world forever.
State of Grace is the first in a series of fantasy-thriller mash-up novels, blending magic, super-spies, and politics in an exciting brew of action and adventure. From the chilling opening scene to the pulse-pounding climax, State of Grace takes the best elements of an espionage thriller and a court intrigue and weaves them into a world both familiar and fantastic.

Bedtime Stories For Kids – Book 1: Close Your Eyes (Relaxing Adventures: One short story per evening will calm the mind and help your child fall asleep fast.) by Janine E. Leo
Genre(s): Action & Adventure, Religion & Spirituality, Spirituality, Meditations
T he book, “Bedtime Stories For Kids – Book 1: Close Your Eyes (Relaxing Adventures: One short story per evening will calm the mind and help your child fall asleep fast.)”, was written out of necessity to provide children and their parents with a pleasant and peaceful evening experience. Evening time can be extremely stressful for families, because children often have trouble getting to sleep, even though they are tired, and become cranky because of it. Also, not only children become tired in the evening, the same happens to parents after a long and busy day.
That’s why relaxing bedtime stories for children are child- and parent-friendly. Adventure stories provide parents with a small trick that helps them motivate their children to quickly go to bed. Through beautiful adventures like: playing in tall grass, swimming with colored fish, playing with fluffy kittens, flying with a flying horse, going into space, traveling around on clouds, observing a mighty waterfall, playing in the snow, etc., the Kindle short stories occupy children’s minds with positive experiences, calm them down and lull them to sleep.
In recent years, many recognized authors such as: Louise L. Hay, Deepak Chopra, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, Connie Bowen, Eric Pearl, etc., have stressed the connection of our mind and body and showed us the healing possibilities inside us. Even the medical world is beginning to understand how our mind influences our body and is slowly willing to accept it. These kids bedtime stories try to follow this knowledge and add a new positive, adventurous dimension; adjusted especially for children.
These short stories include elements of meditation, positive thinking and affirmations for kids, which relaxes their minds and helps them to accept themselves as they are – all while helping to release them from their problems and at the same time,,find an appropriate solution. The support we give kids through short bedtime stories for kids bring them inner peace, awareness of their positive core and strengthen their self-confidence, which results in helping them to fall asleep easily.
All these stories begin with the sentence: “Close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths. Breathe in slowly, hold your breath for a second, and then slowly breathe out. Repeat three times.” Deep breathing by itself is one of the best ways to lower stress in the body. By using childrens’ imagination, the stories take them to the adventures they adore: from helping the stork deliver a baby, to playing in snow tunnels, sledding down the roof, dancing with the stars and the moon, playing with a colorful butterfly, collecting interesting stones from the beach, etc. All the stories end by saying: “Good night and sleep tight. Love you.” In this way each night, we let our children know they are important to us and that we love them.
These short bedtime stories were written especially for Kindle, out of the author’s needs and experiences as a mother. The author still has to tell these kind of stories to her kids every evening, now aged 8 and 10. Although the stories are short, they sometimes both fall asleep before the story is over. Even if they don’t, they can stay in the adventure they have pictured in their minds a bit longer and enjoy it even after they get their final good night kiss.
This is one of those great kids books for Kindle that will truly add value to any life, and we’re sure both parents and their kids are going to love it.

World of Archangels by Sufian Chaudhary
Genre(s): Religion & Spirituality, Spirituality, Angels, Self-Help, Spiritual
W orld of Archangels is a spiritual masterpiece designed by Archangel Uriel that retraces the self-realization process that allows you to interact with some of the most influential Beings in this Universe. Regardless of who you are, where you come from or what you are doing, this book contains Universal principles that will redefine your spiritual life. The book is filled with Enlightening meditations, Ancient wisdom and uplifting stories of ethereal encounters with the other side. Whether you are a beginner in this field or an old soul wiser than the day, World of Archangels will help you achieve the next level of your spiritual journey.
Throughout history we have been led to believe that there were only 7 primary Chakras within the human body. There are in fact 12 Chakras that act as representatives for the 12 Dimensions that make up our Universal learning environment. World of Archangels delves quite heavily into each of the Dimensions that collectively became known as Creator School. We are each of us developing souls that will one day achieve the 12th Dimension and leave Creation as powerful Creators ourselves. The fundamentals of achieving such a feat revolves around Unconditional Love and expressing ourselves within the extremely heightened existence of Enlightenment. The Archangels are the Beings who convey these teachings down in order to complete the cycle of learning. World of Archangels was written to simply orchestrate such a Divine meeting; the rest is entirely up to Destiny.
The book follows a self-realization process that Archangel Uriel hand-crafted for the sole purpose of awakening souls. Each chapter continues this powerful journey, where by the end of the book, descriptive meditations upon activating and cleansing the Chakras, raising the vibration of the human body, communing with ethereal Beings, psychic self defense, healing and the ability to understand Life beyond normal human perception becomes available. With self-realization in mind, World of Archangels aims to excel the spiritual aspirant onto a pathway of Enlightenment with dedicated meditations to empower the human energetic body beyond the normal limitations.
Here on Earth we may sometimes become bogged down with all manner of disharmonies that cause us to be shackled into a physical life that was effectively set up for us to fail at some point in time. Sometimes we cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel and many times we may even feel burnt by Life itself for no other reason than for the justification of karmic debt. It may be one of the greatest answers to know the meaning of your life and to understand why you are even alive. To genuinely approach an Archangel; these answers may very well be given to you. To live a fulfilling Life, to be free of limitations, to recognize the nature of who you are and where you have come from; this is the result of becoming an awakened soul.

The Red Cross of Gold:. Books I & II (Assassin Chronicles) by Brendan Carroll
Genre(s): Literature & Fiction, Science Fiction & Fantasy, Fantasy, Epic, Paranormal
B uy both books in one volume and save money!
The immortal Knights of the Council of Twelve comprise the ruling body of the clandestine Order of the Red Cross of Gold, Poor Knights of Solomon’s Temple. Some of them have been around since the Crusades in the Holy Lands, secretly directing, aiding and abetting world events that they believe will eventually culminate in the ultimate confrontation of Good and Evil at Armageddon. As Knights of Christ, they live, fight and die safely as God’s executioners in the service of the Master of the Universe.
Book I:. The Knight of Death
The Red Cross of Gold is an ancient order of clandestine Templar Knights left over from the middle ages. A well-worn theme by now, of course, but these Knights are also left over from the middle ages. In fact, many of them are left over from even earlier ages. The story begins when one of them, whose job is dual in nature, Alchemist/Assassin, takes a trip to America in order to retrieve a deserter. The Grand Master’s Apprentice has broken his vows and run off with a couple of young women from Texas. Unfortunately, there is more to his desertion than is first surmised and a high priestess from a rival order is ready and waiting for him. Using an ancient alchemical solution to subdue the Assassin leaves him with a muddled brain and an unfortunate loss of memory. As he falls in love with one of captors, his memory returns in fits and starts by way of dreams and visions while his other captor tries to pry the secret of immortality from his highly disturbed mind. Things get much worse when the Grand Master declares him a possible threat to the order and sends three of his brethren knights to bring him home with or without his head attached to his body.
The surface tension is obvious, forbidden love, conflicted hero, naïve shallow heroine, ruthless antagonists, but there is a hidden conflict within the Assassin that foreshadows things to come in the Epic Fantasy series: The Assassin Chronicles. The series spans an entire century, starting in 2000 and stretching into the future as the mission and origins of the Order of the Red Cross of Gold and its member knights are revealed. Their tale begins in the shadows of prehistory and culminates with the coming of the New Age.
Book II:. The King of Terrors
Mark Ramsay returns to America bent on marrying the girl he left behind, but things are not well on the home front. Two members of his ancient Order set themselves on a dangerous course to stop him at all costs, believing that the marriage will cause the dissolution of the Order. However, his worst enemy lies much closer to his heart when his most beloved Brother weighs into the equation on the wrong side. The Knight of Death places everything on the line as he battles to save the life of his son and win back the woman he loves.

T he Prince of Naples is a true story about a child prodigy living under the control of the violent and terrifying organised crime ‘family’ the Camorra. He is driven to an almost obsessive quest for revenge when the earthquake strikes in 1980, destroying the city, and his family and neighbours are all moved to live in aluminium housing in an unsanitary and crowded shanty town.
More than 40 billion euros in aid money flood into Naples after the quake, but the Camorra ‘own’ the construction businesses and the money is syphoned off to line their own pockets. The boy and the Naples people seem doomed to live indefinitely in rat-infested shanty towns while, just a few miles away, the Camorra and their accomplices live in luxury villas.
The boy’s need for revenge grows along with his rage until he is driven to take actions that no ordinary child could conceive. Even though he is just 12 years old, he ends up getting deeply involved with the Camorra. The Prince of Naples is the story of his revenge and how he avoids capture because no one can imagine his violent and destructive actions are those of a schoolboy.
The boy is now a man and he lives outside Italy under an assumed identity.
PRESS REVIEWS:
“This is the true story of ‘The Prince’, a child prodigy who takes on the corrupt and terrifying Camorra, (the Naples Mafia) but there’s nothing they can do without a clue to the identity of their fearless enemy. No one suspects it’s The Prince who has the perfect disguise – he is 12 years old.
“If his youth isn’t enough to waylay suspicion, The Prince also plays dumb, pretending to be just like any other kid – a device that provides the reader with that lovely stomach-squeezing type of excitement and hope that drives classic adventure novels, such as The Scarlet Pimpernel and The Count of Monte Cristo. The constant promise that his true identity will be revealed – that he is a genius and not the ordinary boy he’s pretending to be – is a hook that makes this book unputdownable. The Prince of Naples has all the fuel that any good adventure needs.” – THE HUFFINGTON POST
“This tale of a modern-day Robin Hood who takes on the Mafia is both shocking and astounding!” -NUTS Magazine
“I really like this book!” -THE SUN
“Crime biography at its best. This will become the story of the year” –NOW! Magazine
“This book reads like a Hollywood movie which makes it all the more incredible that it’s true!” -BEAUTIFUL Magazine

Genre(s): Literature & Fiction, Science Fiction & Fantasy, Fantasy, Contemporary, Magic & Wizards, World Literature, Mythology
A modern-day witch helps an undead detective solve the mystery of his own resurrection in this magical thriller with a touch of classic LA noir!
Los Angeles PI Dexter Graves was pretty sure his life ended back in 1950, after a mysterious femme fatale shot him through the head. When Graves involuntarily rises from his grave sixty years later, he finds himself drawn to freelance sorceress Lia Flores, who introduces him to an underworld he never could’ve imagined. Lia sets out to discover the meaning behind Graves’ unexpected intrusion into her enchanted life, but neither the witchgirl nor the skeletal detective has any idea they’re being set up by an old-school player on the LA scene: mobster/monster Mickey Hardface, also known as Mictlantecuhtli, the ambitious king of the Aztec realm of the dead.
Funny and fast-paced, this genre-bending love letter to the City of Angels blends surreal magical fantasy with the narrative drive of a taut crime story. Epic in scope and rooted in California history, GRAVES’ END adds a new chapter to the mythology of the post-Halloween holiday known as el Dia de los Muertos–the Day of the Dead.

Helga: Out of Hedgelands (Wood Cow Chronicles) by Rick Johnson
Genre(s): Literature & Fiction, Science Fiction & Fantasy, Fantasy & Magic, Literature, Science Fiction Fantasy & Horror, Science Fiction Fantasy & Magic
T welve-year-old Helga has more danger in her life than most beasts her age–Wrackshee slavers after her, a vicious attack by bandits that nearly kills her, a race against dragons pursuing her, and leading a daring rebellion to save her life and rescue friends and family from the insidious WooZan. And that is just the beginning. But what do you expect when you are a young beast who just can’t see the stupid rules of the world making any sense? Helga can’t accept things as they are and ends up taking on not just one, but two all-powerful, supreme tyrants in two different realms.
Helga never intended to lead a revolution. It just sort of happened because she wouldn’t go along with the “rules of normal” that keep tyrants in power and entire societies enslaved. Beginning on a dangerous quest to solve some mysteries in her own past, Helga leads her quirky comrades on a journey that will not only forever change them, but upset ancient civilizations.
As an author, I’m drawn to eccentric, unexpected characters: those who surprise because they hear a distant galaxy, see a different music, create their own fragrance rather than get hooked on a soundtrack; the child who has her own ideas about how the emperor is dressed; the lunatics and rebels who tell stories on the boundaries. Helga’s unusual story will take readers to worlds they never imagined–definitely a whole new ride.
Time and again, the unconventional heroine and her eccentric comrades overcome ominous tyrants and black-hearted slavers, not by battling to the last beast standing, but by being the first beast to think differently.
Helga: Out of Hedgelands is divided into three books which introduce the epic saga of the Wood Cow clan and their role in overturning centuries of slavery and tyranny. This story will continue in additional volumes of the Wood Cow Chronicles now in development. Over the series of current and future volumes, the entire history of the Wood Cow clan, the fall of Maev Astuté, and the coming of Lord Farseeker to the Outer Rings, will be told.

Street Without A Name by Kapka Kassabova
Genre(s): Biographies & Memoirs, Memoirs
N ot many people could put their finger on a map and find Bulgaria. Yet Kapka Kassabova hasn’t quite forgotten–sometimes not for want of trying–exactly where it is. Kapka was born in the muddy outskirts of Sofia, Bulgaria, and has loved and hated her homeland in equal measures ever since. She grew up under the drab, gray mantle of one of communism’s most mindlessly authoritarian regimes, escaping with her family after the collapse of the Berlin Wall. Now that Bulgaria has finally made it (to the surprised incredulity of many Bulgarians) into the European Union, she’s gone home, but how do you feel about a home that you hated when you lived there and have spent most of your life trying to escape? In this illuminating and gorgeously written memoir, Kapka revisits Bulgaria and her own muddled relationship to it, traveling back to the scenes of her childhood, sampling its bizarre tourist sites, uncovering its centuries’ old history of bloodshed and blurred borders, and capturing the absurdities and idiosyncrasies of her own and her country’s past.

T his may be the last self-empowerment book you will ever need.
Shaahin Cheyene, writer, filmmaker, and herbalist, outlines a new and highly effective extra-strength, no-excuses, fierce, and aggressive system of self-empowerment formulated to take you out of your weak, false reality and deliver you into a true and more authentic you.
From the teachings of Ehekateotl, one of the last great living medicine men from the Aztec Tetzkatlipoka Tradition of Darkness, Cheyene extracts and reveals a practical philosophy known as The Law of Opposites. It teaches that all answers are found in balancing life s opposing extremes through a discipline whose primary principle is, as Cheyene writes: The Dogma of No Dogma.
In Darkness, Cheyene challenges us to eliminate our expectations and to live at ease in a world of relentless change and chaos. By embracing The Darkness, we confront our fears and kill the dogma that deprives us, liberating us from restriction. Through The Darkness you, too, can discover The Power of Illumination.

T he truth could cost her everything….
Olivia Mott didn’t intend to lie. Somehow, it just happened. And wasn’t it all Lady Charlotte’s fault anyway?
Now Olivia’s position as assistant chef at Pullman’s elegant Hotel Florence is dependant upon her keeping her secrets. And sometimes lies have a way of leading to other lies. Should Olivia admit her real past and accept the consequences or keep quiet in order to preserve her comfortable new circumstances?
Deception seems to be part of everyday life in the company town of Pullman, Illinois, where the grand Pullman Palace Car is manufactured. Samuel Howard, Olivia’s friend and the town manager, seems to think everything is fine, but Olivia observes something quite different. Could it be that Olivia is not the only one harboring secrets?
