Rivo Blade of the Shooting Star by Matthew Linton

"Rivo was like a shooting star; when it seemed the sun had set on the Kingdom and darkness came, he shone brightly. And like a shooting star, when the sun rose again and the darkness lifted, he was gone."

He falls in battle, only to be brought back to witness the rise of his own legend.

Drafted into the military from a small village on the outskirts of the kingdom, Rivo and his cousins are sent venturing across a land on the verge of collapse to confront a group of terrifying beasts called the Haundo, an unknown enemy with unnatural powers. His journey ends with his untimely death, a sacrifice to save a kingdom in peril.

He finds himself revived as a spirit and sent back to witness his own rise and fall again over the eventful final weeks of his life. Every battle fought, every mistake made, and every step that led to his tragic fall.

Rivo sees his final days played out again through new eyes: new friendships forged, family bonds strengthened, and a secret love he never realized was there all along.

Join Rivo as he takes part in the countdown to his final battle, a hero desperate to win back his life... and the heart of the one who loved him in silence.
