Reign of Mercy by Clarissa Kae

Mercy made her a martyr. Death will make her a queen.

When the inquisition condemns Ysabel as a heretic, the prince of death claims her as his own. Melkart drags her from the pyre into a realm where souls arrive broken stripped of memory and faith. His realm is unraveling. He believes Ysabel is the cause and the cure.

Cursed with a power that summons fire—and follows death—Ysabel is pulled between the mortal world that hunts her and the underworld that would claim her. At the center of it stands the man who calls her his salvation.

She should fear him.

Instead, she’s drawn to him.

But if the Inquisition doesn’t burn her first—what she’s becoming will.
