Secrets: A Crown and Glory Lesbian Love Story by Zuri Amara

Secrets: A Crown and Glory Lesbian Love Story.

At Crown and Glory Natural Hair Salon, secrets don’t stay hidden forever. They get spoken, held, and transformed by love.

Secrets is a powerful, intimate lesbian romance about chosen family, radical honesty, and the courage it takes to build a life that tells the truth.

Jaz has survived things that should have broken her. Instead, she found her way to Crown and Glory, where community is sacred, and love is expansive enough to hold more than one truth at a time. Together with Zee and Cole, Jaz forms an unconventional yet deeply rooted family, grounded in trust, tenderness, and mutual devotion. As they create a home together, the past refuses to stay quiet. Old wounds resurface. Children arrive carrying their own histories. Long-buried truths demand to be seen.

This is not a story about perfection. It’s a story about repair.

As the women navigate parenting, intergenerational trauma, healing, and desire, they learn that love is not diminished when shared. It is strengthened by honesty, patience, and community. From quiet domestic moments to soul-deep intimacy, Secrets celebrates Black lesbian love in all its complexity: sensual, messy, joyful, faithful, and fiercely protective.

Whether you are new to the Crown and Glory series or have walked with the Salon Sisterhood from the beginning, Secrets stands on its own as a deeply emotional, affirming love story. Longtime readers will recognize familiar faces and ongoing arcs, but no prior reading is required to fall in love with these women and their world.
