AP, a high school administrator, grammar nerd, and novelty t-shirt aficionado, has a problem. When he heads to San Diego for an educator’s conference, he is expecting a weekend of professional growth and networking. But when Coop, a teacher at AP’s high school who just so happens to also be his best friend, tags along, the itinerary receives a slight tweak.

It’s another example of AP’s career goal (to become the youngest superintendent in his district) clashing with his allegiance to the best friend who always had his back. It’s also how an assistant principal and a high school history teacher end up in Tijuana’s red light district at dawn. Not everything that happens in Tijuana stays in Tijuana. Sometimes it follows you home.
